Boots

Do you remember the boots that the girls had for the last few years?  Delilah really took over them and truly loved them.  Well, my mom chooses her own missions based on what she thinks the girls would love (and she's good at knowing this!) and recently took on the mission of finding some more boots. 

Mom also can't give one something and not the other.  But she knew that Addison wasn't as attached so finding an "authentic" looking pair wasn't as much a priority as with Delilah's.

They're awesome...both pairs. I love them. Delilah wore them to school last week and called Marmy afterwards to tell her that a girl said she liked her boots.

 

New Music

For Christmas, one of Grandma's good friends gave us all a Ziggy Marley CD. It's so cool and we all truly enjoy it. We had it inside for some dance parties, but it's in the FamVan now so we have some music for everyone when we're together. The tunes are so easygoing and along with a variety of famous singers it incorporates voices of children, too.

The songs have a lot of simple phrases and that gets the girls to chime in. They sit in the back seat, waving, clapping and grooving as they sing along. Probably my favorite is "Ziggy Says" which is a version of "Simon Says" with a Caribbean feel.

Stuff We Love

Milk from our nearby store. Because: you can get it in glass bottles. It's great to use less plastic since they can be refilled but it's also such a good feeling drinking milk out of glass. Plus, all milk from Byrne Dairy is hormone-free!!! We were super-psyched about that because we tried organic when the girls started and that was too much money! Both girls were drinking so much milk that we would go through a gallon in a matter of days. Now, we get to be content with our Byrne Dairy milk which is right down the street!
