Prepping for 5 year old Party!

For the girls birthday party, they wanted to go to the beach. But the beach isn't super close and I didn't think it was fair to ask people to drive their and then pay for parking. So I decided to do a beach theme party in our backyard.


My plan for execution with a beach theme:
Snacks: fish food (chips), fruit of the sea, sea water, fish crackers & swedish fish
Decorations: hanging bubbles &  fish
Games: I'll fill you in next post with our beach theme games.

So for me thinking ahead, I was starting with the decorations.  As usual, it was probably more for my enjoyment than them....but I loved how they turned out.
 

 

And I decided to make a special #5 announcement. 

This started when Meredith decorated her card envelope to the girls on their 3rd birthday.  Do you remember that I incorporated it into their room decorations?  I added a 4 out of the scrap tissue paper from the decorations I made for their party last year.  Since I was making a special dessert, I knew what to use to serve as a reminder in the future of this birthday.
