Happy 4th of July

We'll be doing some local festivities today.  Our little village has got a plethora of activities to keep us busy...namely, the kiddie parade. The kids decorate and ride their bikes (or walk or stroller or wagon) in the little walk.  I was brainstorming how to do this without going to the store and came up with some crafts for all:

First, just some sparkly, glittery fireworks.  Although I'm a crafter, glitter is seldom done around here.  So, when I break it out...they're pretty into it.
Secondly, I had no crepe paper nor tissue paper in red, white and blue.  But I've got coffee filters!  So we painted them appropriate colors and cut them like flowers.

Then, I was still into the madness after bed..so I made some rockets.
Finally, they colored some paper plates and I added the #4 for another decoration.

Oh yeah...on a Lowe's trip we picked up some "I pledge allegiance flags" for more decoration.  (That's how the girls call the American flag!)

Finished product:

Hope you enjoy your 4th of July.
