Baking

I got the girls adorable little aprons for Valentine's Day. I was probably more excited than they were, but the owls and the hearts are oh-so-cute! So I tried to get them more enthused by putting them to use. We made brownies...not a dessert that I need in my house, but an easy one for the girls to help with. I just got the basic ingredients ready so that all the girls did was pour in the pre-measured ingredients and then help stir. Well, the activity was fun for the girls...but I still didn't get the response I wanted for the aprons.

I'm with ya, Addison. While you eat the sweets, let someone else do the work! Smart girl.

(Be careful though..you don't want to make your mom too mad! Know the line.)

Looks like lots of fun. And of course Addy still has her princess outfit on. Adorable. I love the aprons!!

Addison gave Delilah the stink eye!

she may have given her the stink eye, but Delilah scolded her!

maybe you can use the aprons when you do finger painting too? Or will it just be for baking?

did you get a matching one for yourself to model? Remind them that Marmy always wears one; it is essentially a hybrid bib and splatter cover Just this past weekend Madelyn texted me a shot of her wearing a purple apron she had made in seventh grade.

I loved the dialogue in this one. Another insight into the one who is detailed and the one who is seeking satisfaction.
I love those girls, and you too, Mom.
