Big Girl Beds

It's official.
It's taken some work.
We endured some falls and screams and cries.
We worked through them patiently.
We offered love, hugs, kisses and patience.
Ezra and I did it, though...they've transitioned into big beds.
We had no choice...they were perching on the railings and jumping!
We took the rails off and researched bed rails.
$30 each x twins = $60!!!!!!!
Nothing on craigslist.
We can do this...or so we thought.
They fell out...and SCREAMED!
We put their mattresses on the floor.
It turned into romper room.
Lucy came over and provided the solution from experience at camp.
Prop the mattresses with a wedge.
How did we NOT consider this...duh???
Ezra brought in experience from the nursing home and added a towel rolled and tucked under the sheet to serve as a bumper.
I pushed the girls all the way inside and stuck the feet of their big animals in the slats.
Add some pumping up about "big girl beds" and
VOILA!


PS - we've eliminated binkies during this escapade, also. simple as telling them that all the binkies are broken!
