Summer Craze: B-day Party

They wanted a princess theme this year, so I obliged!

They invited a small group of friends (it's vacation time for everyone, so hard to even get a small group together at the same time!) The invitations said to dress in their princess-finest.

My mom helped to prepare by making birthday presents that would be utilized this day.  She made beautifiul Elsa dresses from the movie Frozen.  Delilah had already set her mind to be Pocahontas and there's no changing her mind!

We started out with a game inspired by Princess Elsa.  So simple and they loved it.  In fact, they asked to play it again at the end of the party.

Then we moved to a game with a Pocahontas theme.
Obviously, this was not challenging for *7* year olds...so after the easy round I switched to walking backwards, then they got to choose a way to challenge themselves.  They were to fun:  pirouettes, jumps, tippy-toes!

Game 3 was from Sleeping Beauty.
My yellow font is hard to read in the sign:  Princess Aurora:  Spinning Wheel Toss.

We got Ezra to help us out as everyone attempted to toss the "wheel" over him.

I used a game from our party 2 years ago because it tied in nicely with the movie Princess and the Frog.  It was a frog-prince version of pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey.

Game 5 was from Cinderella.  I simply hid a "glass slipper" somewhere around the pond and they were off!

Using the movie Tangled, we played:  Rapunzel:  Tangled Up!

It was so fun to watch the girls giggle away at this one.

Our final game was not really a princess, but still applicable (I thought).  I bought a bunch of bendable little fairies, hid them in the garden and let the girls find 4 each to keep.

Then on to dessert and gifts and we called it a day!

Marmy and Papa were there to watch also, but I failed to get a picture of them.
