We spent one whole day at a nearby beach on Cranberry Lake. This beach was wonderful for my little ones. It was so very small and there were not very many people there. For that reason, I got to sit for hours (yep, like almost uninterrupted) reading, talking and watching. They could never be out of my sight.
The girls spent most of the time right here: Addison went to the first rope they had out (about knee height for me) and Delilah swam like a mermaid right up near the shore. The sun came and went all day, so it wasn't too hot but never too cool.Lucy offered to bury the girls. Suprisingly, both of them stayed still long enough to get covered. Let me tell you that this was a difficult task for Delilah. But they thought this was super silly.
After grilling some lunch, Ed took us out on the boat in a couple of shifts. Lucy and Ezra went out first and the men fished for a while we stayed on shore playing in the sand & water. Then, all three girls and I went out. After a full day of sun, both little ones fell asleep for a little nap while Lucy and I enjoyed the scenery. Overall, an excellent day while on our vacation.
