Allowance $$$$

So now we're working on saving money from that allowance that the girls get for making their bed.  Seriously, it's a coin if they make it...pennies, dimes, whatever I find laying around.  They do prefer the pennies, though.  We're trying to do a routine that the dollar store will be Sundays and they can pick one thing.  We talk about if they have enough money (I deem whether that's the case or not because I have to supplement their coins, anyway), count out the money and they can pick one thing out.

  This is fun.  They stick to the one item.  They hem and haw over which item they truly want. 

Then they go wait in line and hand over their coins to the cashier one  at a time so they each get to do a transaction.  They take their receipt and, of course, say thank you to the cashier.
