As I was perusing through some old photos, I ran across this one when Addison popped over to see what I was looking at. She let out a gasp and exclaimed that her auntie looked like a princess. She just bubbled on about how beautiful the dress was and how pretty she looked and she just loved everything! Well, Edes, I imagine that you did feel like a princess this day!

The dress marked a point between illness and recovery that year, and it was an investment of sorts, to confirm that she was doing better than just enduring. Meredith loved that dress and actually said that she felt like a princess wearing it. We know she can be a clothes hog, but who would have thought this aggressive member of the N.Y. State Soccer team would have used "princess" for herself. Go figure. I wonder if she denies her total love of that gown? It is in storage with two other prom dresses that frequently come out of the closet and flounce around when sister time
happens. Too bad yours is not part of the show, Melanie. But then, your outstanding feature was the "bow hair do" you wore so elegantly. (If you are looking for a loaner, I still have my wedding dress wrapped up.)
I can see why Addison gasped when she saw her Aunt Edsie. Meredith does look like a princess. There was a time when Meredith like to smile for the camera and play around a bit. Now she's always behind one.
You look beautiful, Meredith Anne! Madelyn and I are always trying to get you to play prom dress up with us...does this pic make you want to join us next time??
