Halloween III

Halloween was sooooo much fun.  Final costumes was a complete surprise to me.  Well, I guess the word complete is an exaggeration since I knew that Addison would be some sort of princess (though we couldn't find the Princess and the Frog dress so there was a bit of a meltdown).  Delilah grabbed the red shirt from the dress-up bin and proclaimed her choice to be a cowgirl.  Worked for me!  Easily, in fact.  We grabbed the cowgirl boots that Addison tends to wear, threw on some jeans and a hand-me-down jacket that had the cowgirl flair!  We braided some pigtails and searched for a hat.  We did have a cowgirl hat, but for some reason, she decided to don the witch hat (which didn't make it past the neighbors because it kept blowing off).

So, off we went on the chilly night.  The girls quickly learned the procedure.  They ran (and I mean ran) up to the door, rang the doorbell, nicely said "trick or treat" and then once the candy was in the bag said "thank you, happy halloween".  Ezra and I were oh-so-proud of their manners.  We would have loved to have kept going, but who really needs all that candy around.  I sure don't have the willpower to stay out of the candy jar!  So we did part of our neighborhood and called it a night.
