The Bikes!! part II

Addison got to try first since we had acquired her bike first. She was able to peddle, but kept wanting to push the pedals backwards as well, so since the brakes kept being applied, we didn't get very far. Day 2 for her was a breeze, no brakes and smooth sailing. She's really a natural at almost everything she does (thanks for letting me brag!)

Delilah's first attempt was similar but with much more frustration on her part. She did a lot of crying...which was a surprise to me, it's very unlike her except when she's tired. Anyways, we kept trying, my back was hurting from bending over to push her and to keep her feet going forward to not brake! Thank goodness dinner came and we had to go in. I wasn't looking forward to day 2. But it was just like Addy...she got on, needed a little push and was off!!

My emotions?? I was so excited and proud...for about 30 seconds because then it dawned on me that they're no longer my babies! So I'm very unsure about how I feel about this...it's really a bunch of mixed emotions that I hadn't anticipated. Well, it's fun, that's for sure. They LOVE it and I'm so glad because we are a biking family.

But the funnies thing is Delilah's way of riding...she rides along like she's on a leisurely stroll...humming and weaving around and looking all about, up, down, side to side. Seriously, she hums! Addison is bee-lining it like she's on a mission. Those legs are pumping and she's off! Humming???
